Slow smoker? Fast smoker?

I'm curious how fast you guys typically get through a cigar. Let's just say a typical 5x50 robusto. I'm slow as hell, that's a good 90 minute smoke for me! I'm over an hour with a Nub Cafe 542 right now

Depends on how good the cigar is and how well it's rolled, so so stuff I burn through, good stuff I savor

Cadence and draw...about every 40 seconds. Dense cigars tend to last longer and smoke better. Nothing worse than smoking a paper towel.

I tend to be on the slower side. Most robustos typically last me 75 to 90 minutes.

on the slower side as well. generally an hr plus on most sticks. nubs always take me an hour, small but mighty.

i can smoke a KFC chunky in 30 minutes, i keep those for shorter car rides.

I'm with you on this. I didn't really think I was a quick smoker until I started smoking with a buddy. I am always done 15 minutes before he is, even when we smoke the same cigar...

I consider myself a slow smoker. I get at least an hour from a Robusto, which is actually my preferred size to smoke. I take a drag every two minutes to keep the smoke cool.

Gran Consul Size (shorter than Robusto but fatter) can last me an hour and 45 to 2 hours if I nub it.....

Man what a question. If I am on my motorcycle and out riding with my other cigar smoking buddies a Robusto will last me about 25 minutes. And that was to the nub and I had to hold it in my teeth because I burned my fingers trying to hold it. Sub nub! Part of that though is all the additional air that hits the cigar. But that is on a motorcycle. Out on the back porch it is probably about 40-50 minute smoke. I guess I can consider myself a fast smoker. Have never really given it a lot of thought.

I'm a slow smoker for sure. 1-1 1/2 hours for that vitola. IMO anything faster I just get harshness but there are some sticks that play well with a hotter burn..

I’m around 70 min for a robusto. Really depends on how dense the roll is for me.

i’ve always wanted to smoke while riding, doesn’t the cigar go out when you hit higher speeds ?

No sir. The problem is all the extra wind cause it to burn significantly faster. It’s like a very long continuous puff. And it will also cause tunnelling quite a bit of the time. I just relight and touch up while riding. I keep my lighter in my left pocket for just such reasons.

I have had that problem a few times. Seems to depend on ambient conditions as it only sometimes happens. I also like to use a punch on a cigar to be smoked while riding.

That's good to see, I thought I was just ultra slow and everybody else was a sub-hour robusto smoker.

45-60 min for an average Robusto. But, as others have said, it really depends on the stick, and how much I'm enjoying it..
