Just put a payment down on a S&W 645 .45 ACP and now waiting 10 days for the stupid waiting period. Can't wait to get it and take it out shooting!

I've shot that model a few times, I thought it handled the 45 cal like a champ! Congrats on the new firearm! 10 days is absurd though!

CA has a 10 day "cooling down" period. It's dumb...

I suspect after the recent shootings that you will see "waiting periods" will become the norm. My guess is that it will take weeks, even months, to get "approved" to purchase a gun. I for one will not be completely opposed to it, on the other hand, I'll be purchasing a few more guns in short order so I won't have to deal with it.

Here in Ohio I can still go into the shop and walk out with a gun in less than 1/2 hour.
