  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Note: This isn't all that interesting.

I've always refrained from smoking in my explorer for fear of stinking it up. Friday, with traffic looking ugly, I decided to burn up a Tatuaje Regios. Man, it made the drive a lot more enjoyable. I almost missed my exit because of my descent to flavor country. So, by the end of this week it should stink pretty good. I'm pretty sure I don't care now. :smokingbo

Anyone else still on the "no vehicle smoking" rule?

Smoking while driving is one of my favorite times. I look forward to long road trips just so I can relax and enjoy a good cigar.

Try one of these. You can put it in the car for an hour or so and it takes all the smell out. I use mine all the time. I went on a road trip where 5 guys were in my car smoking, and I used this when I got home, and it smells like a new car again.

I smoke in my truck very infrequently. Like once every two to three months. The smell doesn't get that bad and is usually gone in a couple days.

I do sometimes. Like this morning after dropping the wife off at the airport I had over two hours to burn before my first class and a cigar in my bag. So I sat in my car smoking and drinking coffee. I don't do it regularly though. I may start after checking out those ozone generators.

It helps my gas mileage. I've noticed that I drive more slowly and much calmer, except when I dropped the lit stick between my legs on the LIE.

If you have leather seats it is not too bad to get the smell out. If you have fabric seats tough luck. I have smoked in my Durango and the smell never comes out. I have tried everything under the sun; Charcol, Viniger, air sprays, you name it I have tried it. I will say that my wife has a super strong nose so she can smell that I have smoked a cigar the next day still. Good luck.

I don't like to smoke in the car if my car is not moving because I don't like the smoke to sit. I'd rather it be drawn out. On road trips (just took one from CA to MO, going through Dallas, TX), I like to bring plenty. Really makes the time a blast. This last road trip, I went through 6 sticks, including Oliva, Illusione and CAO (LX2).

I smoke on the highway to and from work, but I smoke cheapie cigarillos because I don't have the time for a decent cigar. Sometimes I grab a pack of black and milds or fire up my pipe for a change. A pipe can be a little too demanding to smoke while driving, though.

I drive an 05 corolla with fabric interior. The biggest issue I find with smoke smell is if there are ANY ashes lingering in the car. I have a procedure that seems to work perfectly well to remove the smell, although probably never in its entirety.

First, I vacuum the car thoroughly and armorall the interior. Then, I bomb out the car with a "Clean Linen" smoke enzyme spray. I'm literally spraying into the car for like a minute straight. I let the car sit, closed, overnight (if not longer). Seems to work wonders. I also am sure to spray directly onto the fabrics I know have come in contact with regular smoke (above the window on the ceiling section, for instance).

Hope it helps.

I smoke in my car & my girl's car. At first I didn't but the smell is usually gone in about two-three days. It also makes a long drive enjoyable. I just try not to smoke anything that requires my full attention when I'm driving.
