  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

so what is your preference in...

premium tequila? i saw a couple of names from doing a search, but not too many folks had an opinion. there are lots out there, and the high end ones are pretty high end. i have always been partial to don julio, but looking for other opinions.
what about you, senor south of the border in the land of tequila? what's considered primo down there?

that's good, but i'm looking for personal experience and taste if possible.
I'd need to know how premium (there are SERIOUSLY expensieve ones); but try Don Julio 1942 and Jose Cuervo Reserva de la Familia. And foran everyday one, try Maestro Tequilero Reposado.

The best I have had is Don Julio 1942. I don't buy it cause it's expensive and I'm not a big Tequila fan. Patron is pretty good, too.

i have an old bottle of the la familia, and it is excellent. the 1942 sounds good.
i'm going to have to go to the megaliquormart and see what they carry. i wanted to get some ideas so i'd know what to look for. i'm not sure what is available here in the cowtown midwest.
the one thing i do know is that the better the tequila, the less chance for an exploding head the next day!

The latter part's as true as it gets! Worst case scenario PM me what ye found there and I can make a suggestion.

Cazadores Anejo is really good too.

Its all personal taste really . . . some people like Cuervo, other say they'll never touch the stuff. Hit up a store, buy a few, and go to town . . .

One thing to keep in mind, Patron is owned by Paul Mitchell (yes the hair salon guy) so I try to stay away from that brand cause it seems way overpriced for what you get.

Of what I've tried, my fav anejo is Don Julio and the best blanco I've personally tried is Corrallejo (spelling?). The later is absolutely awesome, sweet, and SMOOOTH.
