  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

They are OK, not dog rockets, I have gotten a box in the past and used them as yard gars, FYI you can get them really cheap on CBid most of time.

Only one I've had is the Sol Cubano Artisan. It was good, but I don't know about the rest of their cigars. This was supposed to be their top of the line I guess. Did I send you one? I can't remember.

I have a couple, but haven't smoked one yet. Both the ones I have are Churchills, and I rarely find the time.

yeah, you sent me one...it's a beaut. the wife has asked to look at it a couple times now, (the cigar that is) just to make sure i haven't smoke it yet. I think she's wantin to have a tug on it...the cigar that is.

Again, many thanks for that stick. Can't wait to take a week off work just to smoke it. Dude, it's a monster.

I still have seven more of them. I know what you mean I'm intimidated by the size but I might smoke one tomorrow on the golf course. I think I'll bring one of them and one of my church hill sized cigars that's been sitting in my humidor forever.

Haha ooh and thanks for clarifying that she wasn't interested in your stick I didn't think that happens after you get married.:agreesmil

HA! If you only knew. In my marriage, my wife is the one complaining about not getting it enough...and she's approaching 33 yrs old, which is supposedly right around a woman's sexual peak.

What's a guy to do?!?! I tell ya.

I tried a sampler awhile ago and found that I liked the Sumatra wrapped one the most. I buy a few every now and then to mix in with the batch.

I don't think you would be disappointed buy any of them though.

Concur - I troll cbid for the Sol Cubano Maduros occassionally. Last month got 5 toros for $7. Not very spicy; not very complex -- just a very decent mild-medium, with a smooth maduro flavor. Great for dog-walking and grass cutting.

Their connies are not bad, but also rather one-dimensional. Never had any other blends from them.

I purchased the toro sampler and have so far sampled the connie and sumatra. I enjoyed both. The burn was fantastic on both. The sumatra's foot is a little sweet, but not too much and not in an artificial way (imho). Looking forward to trying the maduro. They likely won't blow your mind or anything, but I'd say they are above average, for the price, with a great burn. I'll admit, I'm a little bit of a sucker for cigars with a great burn... :smokingbo

The CI deal is on the Cuban Cabinet which I believe is a fairly new blend. I posted the link on the cigar deals page. I think that this blend is supposed to be a higher end offering. The regular price retails about double what the sumatra and maduro's go for.

At under $40 for the sampler on CI $2/stick now is a great time to check them out. I'm getting my sampler tomorrow and will post my impression of them sometime over the weekend.
