Stained Bowls

Hey guys,

Just a quick one, my new Sav is the first pipe I've bought that is neither carbonized or raw briar in the bowl.

It's got the same stained, polished smooth finish as the exterior and quite frankly I can taste it big time.

Just wondering if there is a quick way to remedy this or do I just need to build cake suck it and see?

You can take some medium coarse sand paper to it if you don't own a good sharp reamer. Take it down to the raw briar.

Worked a treat! Thanks, started with the reamer and finished with medium then fine wet n dry.
Couldn't get the very bottom but I reckon it's going to smoke heaps better!

I wrap the sandpaper around the reamer to get the very bottom.

I do that on all my restores and it seems to work great. Guess you could use a Wooden dowel or anything of that matter but a reamer conforms best to most bowl shapes.
