Well the title states it all. We won the 8-man state championship here in Iowa. Our team finished 13-1. We beat the defending state champs and the team we lost to last year, Lenox. The score was 49 to 30. Our boys played with everything they had and when the game was over none of them had another play left in them. I am so proud of those boys.
I want to thank ctaylor and Chuck so much for the cigars that I smoked to celebrate our victory. You guys put the word generous to shame.
I was up at 4am on friday to travel down to the UNI dome in Cedar Falls and after the game all of us coaches got together to celebrate the victory properly. After lots of Sammy's Winterfest and several victory cigars I finally went to bed at 4:30 am Saturday morning.
To finish off the story my wife and I will be welcoming our third child here pretty soon. Last night we stayed in the hospital due to my wife having pretty serious contractions. Well they kinda of petered out so we came home this morning.
