After growing up near Pittsburgh, I can attest to the terrible conditions of the field. The reasons are they let the Panthers play there and all the Western PA High School championships...including my high school when I was a senior.
They did this at Three Rivers and it has carried on to Heinz Field.
That being said, they laid 4 inches of sod on top of the existing field for the Monday night game.
Did anyone see the punt that landed with the point down and didn't move? Looked exactly like someone had set the ball on a tee....minus the tee. :grin:
