How does everybody store pipe tobacco? Do you keep it in a separate humidor only for pipe tobacco?

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.
A lot of people let it sit out a while before smoking. I wonder if there is any comparison to some folk "dry boxing" a cigar. In my opinion, which is vastly limited, pipe tobacco is stored at far too high of a humidity to smoke.
When I smoked a pipe, I would always leave a small amount of tobacco exposed to air for ten to thirty minutes to make it burn better.
Then again, I never did get the hang of packing

Must be. You should see the way my uncle likes his tobacco, nearly bone dryA lot of people let it sit out a while before smoking. I wonder if there is any comparison to some folk "dry boxing" a cigar.
Not sure, I feel like it depends how the tobacco is cured. So I have some pipe tobacco kept in a Baggie inside a cigar box. Smells and feels fresh. Tastes good. Just worried about tobacco bugs. Is this an issue?
Thanks for the replies!!!!

In the many years I've been dabbling in pipe tobacco, I've never seen any.So I have some pipe tobacco kept in a Baggie inside a cigar box. Smells and feels fresh. Tastes good. Just worried about tobacco bugs. Is this an issue?
Yeah, are beetles/bugs even an issue? I never did any research, but have never heard this.In the many years I've been dabbling in pipe tobacco, I've never seen any.
Been doing jars for awhile now. I have read mixed reviews on just filling them and keeping them tight - vs - going through the trouble of heating in hot water to create the true seal. I imagine this is only beneficial if you are not planning to open the jar for 5+ years?Yeah, are beetles/bugs even an issue? I never did any research, but have never heard this.
Crack the tin and jar it. I've opened jars from years ago and as moist as I first put it in. Kinda nice to not have to worry about any maintenance.
I've never done the true seal thing, but although I've been piping for 6 years or so, I don't come close to some of these guys in the amount I smoke. I'm lucky to smoke one a day, so I've never long term aged anything. In fact, I think two ounces is the most I've ever purchased of one particular blend. I've jarred some stuff and came back to it a couple of years only to find out that the moisture content is pretty much the same as when I put it in there. Again, I still consider myself a newbie, so I'm not sure on these things.Been doing jars for awhile now.
