  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Suggest a cigar

Hi everyone, a good majority of you might not know me since I'm new. However I'm looking for a nice special cigar for a hopefully very nice occasion. I'm applying to Ph.D. programs right now and once I get my first acceptance letter I want to have a nice cigar to celebrate. I don't want to spend to much I'm thinking less than $40. I don't like cigars that make me feel like I have a hang over. Right now I am enjoying Romeo y Julieta medallas de oro cabinet seleccion.

I had a Cabaiguan Maduro RX this evening. Very rich and complex without being overpowering. Definitely enjoyable without being something that will leave you with a "hangover" feeling...

Let me know if you can't find one and I will hook you up.

Edit:
Obviously nowhere near the $40 tag...for that money, I would go for a Padron. Just me.

Do you guys order your stuff online on B&M's
I tend to do a bit of both. Some stuff that might be a bit harder to find or that isn't carried by my B&M is obviously stuff that I am willing to order online.

I also like ordering and supporting my local B&M since it acts as a lot more than just a "store." Just as on here, those guys are true Brothers...the place is a clubhouse for men and their cigars and a hideout to talk about sports, finance, politics, cigars, and girls (not necessarily in that order).

for $40, you can pretty much take your pick! congrats on going for your PHD!! i'd go for the DC maximus 90th! or a Padron 80th, or 40th. or a real nice Opus (though they can be strong!)! or a GOF, or a la aurora preferido! or a, or a, or a....

Congrats. If you want to spend $40 or less, try a Padron 80th Anniversary. They run about $30 or so. By the way I sent you a PM that may interest you.

If your looking for a medium strength smoke I like the La Aurora platinum tube which you can get for around $18 bucks at a B&M or cheaper online. The Montecristo White is another smooth medium smoke that hits the mark. These are two of my favorite smokes to hand out to my friends who are "light" smokers at parties.

Padron again. Or, if ye do not live within the US (which would make it illegal), $40 is about what a Cohiba Esplendido will be. Or 2 PSD4 to share one.
