Super hot pepper grow 2020

Well I haven’t grown any super hots in a few years because I’m not home to take care of them, but with this years Covid crisis it would seem that going to our Cozumel home is out of the question. I ordered My live plants from http://www.chileplants.com/ in March. They arrived and I transplanted into small plastic growbags until the end of April. When I saw roots coming out of the bottom of the bags I transplanted into 5 gallon HD buckets. They have really taken off

. I have been pollinating every morning since I saw flowers using a small paintbrush and have many peppers growing.

I'm growing the Reginas from seeds from the peppers you sent me a few years ago. They are looking good.

The REGINAS are some of my favorites..Huge pods, just a little bit hotter than a habanero. I’ve grown these for 4 seasons now....That’s so great the seeds are going great! That was a few years ago I sent out the hot pepper bombs lol

After all of this Central Texas wind it would appear that a Carolina Reaper pod dropped from my plant. It doesn’t look ripe as this variety turns yellow when complete. Bet it’s still hot though Taste test soon..... 9 days of growth since last image.

Plants look good! Question: how do you eat those?

I'm not a Chili head, but if I lived to be 100 there would be over 1/2 of that reaper left.

Regular habaneros and the reginas I just hold the stem and take bites with my meal. The hotter ones I chop up and put in lime juice with salt and garlic and eat sparingly by putting it on my meal. I like to eat the peppers just before they ripen.

Wow, I can’t do those vicious bastards. I’m primarily a mild to medium pepper guy. Love to grow new mex styles. Occasionally I’ll grow Thai chilies cause they’re cool, but I do love some habanero, best tasting pepper on the planet if you stay out of the seeds and white flesh. Though, I Took over several of my buddies starts this year cause he wasn’t gonna be able to nurture them.

Got a couple habanero in the green house. They're not as far along as I'd like but doing ok. Chocolate habanero died. Not a big fan of anything hotter anymore. Im after flavor and once you get past habaneros it seems to be a diminishing point of return.

I decided to try my hand at growing peppers this year. I've got a mammoth jalapeño, cayenne, "super chili" (no idea what it actually is), hot banana pepper, plus a red and a green bell pepper.

Lots of plant growth.The pods are getting bigger. Central Texas heats making the plants thirsty so I moved them under the live oak trees in the corner of the back yard. Yesterday we had a record high of 110! Pool water temp is 91.
