  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

    Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I'm not pulling for either team...my team (Packers) is already out and I am now humbled and sad...the Super Bowl just doesn't mean as much this year for me.

However, that being said....there is no way that the Giants are going to beat the Patriots. I'm not a fan of the Patriots, but I don't think that the Giants have a chance. The Giants did come close in that final game of the season and all, but I've not seen a playoff quarterback quite like Brady in a long time. If you put these teams on paper the Giants are going to get killed. But that's why they play the games....so I guess you never know. I just don't see the Giants winning this.

I seriously kinda hope they do win just so there will be an asterisk!

Belicheat = Classless winner!
There are two types of sports fans: Those who cheer on their team win or lose and those who subsist on hatred of another team.

I hope that large nugget of hate keeps you going through the off season and that you don't choke on it.

Much.

This is a great match-up. Remember that last game of the season. The Giants put up a very respectable fight...pretty much all that can be expected though. :rofl:

It's going to be the Pat's, but I would like to see Big Blue win.

It's a monumental season for the NFL period. There hasn't been this much erasing in the record books as there has been this year alone.

What the hell, I'm picking the Giants.

As annoying as it is to watch those former Miami Dolphins popping Champagne, imagine what Patriot fans will feel like :grin:

I'd love to see the look on this bozo's face if the Patriots lose

Can't speak for other Pats fans, but if NE goes 18-1, they'll still have given me the most exciting season of pro football in recent memory.

With the parody of the NFL, excluding my Detroit Lions, you will probably never see an undefeated team again!
Well, Detroit is a parody, but if there truly was parity in the NFL the best we could reasonably expect is a handful of one- or two-loss teams. I think we'll be back to that next year. NE was able to pull together the serendipitous combination of a great coach, best QB ever, a very talented receiving corps, and a defense that belies it's age. I'm sure a few cracks will develop next year. NE will probably go to the playoffs again, but not without a few losses.

In twenty years when the Pats are back to 4-12 and all his hair has disappeared, he may have second thoughts.
