On Saturday I had been hunting around & came across these two new releases. Both blended by Pepin, they did not dissapoint!
Tabacos Baez - I was really impressed by this one - first smoke of the day. This is a mild-medium bodied stick that really smacked of the Cabaiguan. I choose the Belicosso, which looked & felt perfectly constructed. Cut, drew, & burned beautifully. It had a real rich & creamy taste, thick white smoke - very arromatic, both my wife & I were drooling as we shared this. A little spice when passed through the sinuses.
A truly great 1st smoke of the day! I will definitely be picking up some more of these!!!
Mi Barrio - This one was a bit intimidating due to it's size & expected punch, yet was irresistable & I just had to get it - got 3 of em. I'm glad I did. I've been raving about the new EO line of Cubao & this is to Cubao what the Tat Verocu is to the Havana VI's. This stick is a bit deceptive in that it starts almost mild. Very rich & flavorfull, it picked up strength as the stick progessed & damn near kicked my butt. Construction was everything you would expect from Pepin - it was razor sharp the whole way! What a fantastic smoke, but this burned for near 2 hours & by then, I was ready to put it down.
Both of these are great new limited releases & I highly recommend both!
