  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Cigar: Taboo African Cameroon Toro (6 x 50)

Cost: $5

Drink: Coke (the best cola out there)

Appearance: 1 banded cigar that says "Taboo Cigars" on the band. The cigar is veiny and has a rough wrapper to the touch.

Pre-light: Didn't really have any special scent to it. I couldn't really pick up a taste before the light.

Taste of the cigar: This cigar was nutty and sweet.

Construction: Held an long ash. The draw was perfect. The cigar did not require any touchups. This cigar was very densley packed and heavy as all Taboo cigars are.

Strength: This was a medium flavored cigar.

Summary: This cigar was pretty average. I probably won't buy this again. I like the Taboo Twist and the Taboo Special Forces Original better. I give this a 7/10.

Someone fill me in on these Taboo's, why have I not heard more about these. There is certainly no buzz about them around here. Are they good? Boutique? Expensive? etc, etc, and I guess which ones do you recommend I try, sorry if this is a threadjack.

Hello BOTL
Sorry we don't post coupon codes on here. We can't give out 20-30% off coupons and pay for advertising. (We always have coupons for our customers) Call me if you can't find a coupon and I will give you one for 20-30%off. Our goal is to give our advertising dollars to the customers in the form of discounts rather than pay for advertising. Taboo is growing rapidly by word of mouth and about 95% of our reviews on the below blends are positve. Great cigars in the $2-$4 range for the most part, with coupons. We are on other forums where you can find coupons. I don't feel it is appropriate to mention the forum names here. All of you are welcome to sign up on our email list if you are interested in great deals. We only average 4 emails per month. We will not send you tons of emails, I have that! I appreciate you guys trying Taboo. At this time we only sell direct to the public and we ship all over the world. (we do sell a few places in our area) We will go to the B&M's sometime during 2009 with only our top selling blends. We have brokers in place when we are ready.
Here are some of our top blends:
Twist
SFO
SFBC
HSG
Dominican Maduro
and any Lim Res.
Again, sorry we can't post coupons here, but give me a call if you have any questions. Our #'s are on our site.
This is a great site. Maybe someday we can work something out with the owner of BOTL.
Thanks
Rob

i've smoked taboo's for several months now. they are good, and inexpensive, stick to have around. most folks i know, including me, like the special forces the best. it is the most flavorful and powerful. worth a look, especially in their price range.

not trying to be too big a pimp. but rob and his crew are also really top notch on the customer service.
i'm done.
I'm with ya. They're service and shipping is awesome! I like their Limited Reserve line. The Conn has alot for flavor. People that don't normally like Connecticut wrapper should give these puppies a try!
