They were fast as hell in practice. That new surface will make it an interesting race for sure.

No shit...197-198 is crazy fast. I am hearing they don't even need to lift the gas going into the corners.

Looks like we won't see 200mph afterall. They're using a more restricting restrictor plate. It dropped the speeds down atleast a good 6-7mph.

I went to the first race there this year before they redid the track. I watched Tony Stewart Flip over in the bush race. Being that I live right next to the track here in Michigan I have been to many races up here. But you never see anything like that here. I think even now that they repaved and put more restriction on the cars, Talladega is still going to be one of the best tracks of NASCAR!!

It didn't look intentional to me but man the fans were bleeding #8 today. And damn I didn't even expect to get the win when that wreck happened when JJ wrecked. Congrats to Vickers!

I just watched the replays of Vickers mistake on TrackPass and it looked completely unintetntional to me...unfortunate and frustrating for the 48 and 8...but it looked like a simple lapse in judgment, not intentional.
