The concept behind this project (all tobacco from same field/crop) was a good idea. The execution of it however, from the pricing (high $), to buying "futures" etc. was something the cigar industry wasn't ready for IMO...perhaps never will be. Assume that's partially why there's no rush to get out the 2010s. 2009s aren't even moving, and it takes well below retail prices to do so, at least from what I've seen.
If there weren't so many issues with the construction on the OR 08s, and they were priced more competitively from the jump...this might be a different story. As it is, I think it's wise Pete focus his efforts elsewhere...i.e. his L'Atelier line appears to have been a big hit - for al the reasons the La verite wasn't (priced better, better marketing/packaging etc).
