Thought i would post some reviews of those smokes sitting in my humi. Up first is the Tatuaje Pork Tenderloin.
I remember when this cigar came out and me, dlavallee and Crypto Sailor split a bundle. It showed up in the mail and a few days later I broke it up and made delivery. About 10 mins in to smoking the cigar all 3 of us made the observation the cigar seemed like a cross between a J21 and a T110. Think Crypto even broke a sweat the first few minutes. Now on to the "redux" review....
Pre-light a hint of hay and spice. Appearance of the cigar shows a few veins and a surprisingly oily appearance considering it's a few years old. Feel firm and packed full of tobacco this baby is ready to be smoked!!
Exuding huge plums of smoke the start has a very Nicaraguan appeal. Hint of barnyard, pepper and spice with a medium burn when retrohaled. The burn is slow and deliberate like you would expect of a cigar that got forgotten in your humidor.
As I get in to the second third I start realizing that I should have told Dan and Brian that I was unable to score these and kept them all to myself. It's a nice medium bodied mix of favor and strength and I am finding I have to purposefully slow myself down on it. Finish is very appealing minutes after each puff with some sweet espresso notes.
Final third I find myself having to walk away between puffs so that I don't start power puffing. It maintained a medium body throughout and is not the ass kicker it was when fresh, but definitely more "smokable" with a few years age.
