What's up with this "seasoning" a humidor... when I received mine I just tossed the sticks in. The florist foam thing I'm using now has been soaked with distilled water but that's about all I did. Should I start over?

+1 on the Heartfelt Beads. Since setting up a 70 qt. coolidor 2 months ago with 1 1/2 lb.s of 65% beads, my rh has been sitting at 68% like a rock. Excellent product and better service.

Can not recomend them enough. a life saver during the winter. I double the amount and still a rock solid 68rh reading, and that's with my mom having the heater cranked up during the colder days out here in CA. as Ron Popeil used to say "set and forget it"

I will take apart the rectangle ones I have and fill them with the beads.

That's what I did and they work great.

looks like heartfelt it is, will get .5 lb of 65%. This sound right?

Sounds good but if you want to check, Dave has a calculator on the website. You put in the dimensions of your humi and it tells you how many ounces of beads you need. Remember you can't have too many so go for a little more than the minimum needed. I find having more helps especially during the winter months when the ambient humidity is low. You will have to add water less often. Oh and just if you don't already know, never add pg solution to them, distilled water only.
