If you were to store cigars in a fridge, but maintain the right humidity is it ok? I don't have my cigars in the fridge, but it has been getting up to 75 in my house while I'm gone during the day and I don't have ac and not sure if I wanna buy a wine cooler yet.

Thanks

I also live in SJ and have had uncooled humidors for 12+ years without a problem. The only outbreak of "bugs" was in two boxes of habanos purchased many years ago - and that was corrected by freezing the boxes for over a week.

If you are concerned, get a Coleman cooler and put your cigars in there. I have one for full boxes that I keep covered in the corner of the garage (northeast side of the house) and find it usually stays around 65 degrees inside.

What if you were to put your cigars in a sealed tupperware container? That would keep the humidity in.

Last summer the inside of my house was up to 82 till the sun went down.

To maintain the relative humidity in the cool air in the tupperdor in the fridge you would need a lot more "media" in the tupperdor.
