So what special dishes do you make or anticipate for Turkey day each year?

I deep fry two turkeys. One marinated with garlic butter and one with Cajun/jalepeno seasonings. Mmmmmmm good.

MMMM green bean casserole. With the dried onions on top. Great leftovers.

Spaggetti (of course)
Egg Plant

the list goes on. All great and made by the Father in Law.

Probably my favorite Thanksgiving dish. And I've even made it before I got so lazy.
There is just something about it. Probably one of the easiest thing in the world to make but still. Hot damn. Bring me more casserole please. O and pumpkin pie. Love it. Damn I am going to pig out next week.

One of my favorite things about Thanksgiving is eating turkey sandwiches for days after. Love it!
Say no more, i do the exact same thing!

Moro! Ready for a BIG thanksgiving menu?! Make sure you dont eat during the whole day.

My mom makes Sweet mashed potatoes with marshmallows on top, white mashed potatoes with chunks ( xD ) mmmmm, corn bread, bannana bread, pumpkin bread, the turkey... Forget it, it's just plane orgasmic, with the gravy and the best stuffing in the world! Aaaah! Can't wait any more! (The list is just huge)

 Blimey! What a menu! Plus, I'll be making some wild rice with cranberries and caramelized onions, sautéed sweet potatoes with cherry and bacon, as well as me warm spiced wine and hot buttered rum to take to dinner.

:drool::drool::drool:

All the traditional goodies!

Big a$$ed turkey... Slow-smoked
Whole bone-in ham - Half inch slices - none of that spiral sliced nonsense
Enough mashed potatoes to feed Patton`s 3rd Army - hand mashed - gotta have lumps.
Gibblet gravy
Sweet potatoes
Stuffing - plain and oyster
Scalloped oysters
Green bean casserole
Cranberry salad - my Grandmother`s recipe - takes about 3 days to make.
Hot bread and rolls
Pie - pumpkin, mince, apple, cherry
Ice cream
Cigars

Can`t wait to get to Jungle Jim`s next week to do all the shopping.

Usually we'll do a big turkey, but the last few years I've fried the turkey. Sure is good after sitting in a cajun spice marinade for 48 hours prior to frying.

This year, we're doing a Turducken. I'm not exactly sure what the hell it is, but my brother wants one, so that's what we're doing.

For the sides, it's the traditional: broccoli & rice casserole, green bean casserole, potatoes au gratin, giblet gravy, etc...

A hen, shoved up the a$$ of a duck, which is in turn shoved up the a$$ of a turkey... or something like that.

Why isn`t PETA raising Hell about this?
