  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I loved the 1st Casa Magna I had. I like how they went for the bargain smoke for #1 rather than a heavy weight ($$$) HTF stick. I'm going to try the Corona to see how it compares right now.

I agree with many on the list, but as said this isn't my list, I can't see how a few of those made it on there, and can't understand why a few are missing. I wounder if you flip through the last CA how many of the major advertisers didn't get a single stick in the top 25. Seems like some of the choices started with what is the best of certain brands.

To me the El Triunfador, La Ririqueza and Davidoff Millenium should have had a spot, I know tasts very, but the La Aurora Barrel Aged and Black Pearl make no sense to me. Anyone tried the Xikar cigar? never heard of it... Wounder if they advertise with CA?

Don't need to answer that I know the answer.

I was going to ask about the Xikar smoke as well. Of course I know they advertise heavily, but does anyone really come out with a top 25 on thier first try? Give me a break. That list is a pile of Sh!t. Of course there are some good smokes on there, but some of thier advertisers acctually put out good smokes.

The defiance actually is a decent smoke, but top 25? lol. I'm with you Dave. But, that is why there are 1360 different brands of cigars. Different smokes for different follks!

I kinda liked the Defiance I had - but I don't see it as 'top 25'..
La Aurora Barrel-Aged is another one I don't get... Or the Black Pearl... Or the Savinelli...

I picked up one last time I was at a b&m on a business trip. Not a bad smoke at all. It would not make my top 25 however. Different strokes for different folks though.

I see it as a positive for us in the know. If the top 10 was full of our favorite cigars it would almost certainly make them harder to find and more expensive. It's already nearly impossible to get your hands on limited releases like the Frank and if you have 5 times as many people going after the same number of cigars it's gonna get ugly.

Yeah - I can't understand why Cruzado didn't make the list - other than it did come out late in the year...

But Damn - That & the (Palio) Esencia are killer!

ps - When's the ECCJ bomb drop??
