  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

The 2008 list is out...

I see it as a positive for us in the know. If the top 10 was full of our favorite cigars it would almost certainly make them harder to find and more expensive. It's already nearly impossible to get your hands on limited releases like the Frank and if you have 5 times as many people going after the same number of cigars it's gonna get ugly.

here, here on that!!!

More for me!!!

I always appreciate the list because they put things on there that are not on my radar.

I think the La Barrel Aged got the nod because it's so unique, being oak-aged instead of cedar. Id' love to try one, I've heard it's sort of a love/hate response.

As far as it being "biased" that only one Tat made the list...I think one Tat a year for 4 years or whatever is pretty good, and that if anyone is biased, it the Official Pete Johnson Fanclub here at BOTL, lol. Not that I disagree. But CA tends to spread the love rather than have the same sticks on there every year (notice the Opus didn't make it?).

I find it interesting that only 2 maduros made the list. How many Cameroons? Nearly all the sticks were corojo and habano...whoever said that CA is completely in the tank for the cubanesque flavor profile above all others is just crazy...:frownno:
