I'll look more at the bovedas then. So with kitty litter it absorbs and releases moisture? I was thinking it would absorb but not release to a specific RH.

Yes kitty litter will both release and absorb moisture. It's basically the same material as Heartfelt beads, just not "set" to a specific RH. I've been using it for 2-1/2 years now and couldn't be happier.
