  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

I am an avid CAO smoker, but at the same time i am a college student(there for meaning little to no money). I have seen the CAO vision in a lot of cigar shops and have always been curious but my pocket has never been. So before i go spending the fifteen dollars on this stick what are some of your opinions?

I've never had one, but at a cigar tasting I was at tonight the last raffle prize was a whole box of these!

$15 seems pretty high, they are about $10 in my local shop in Ohio.

My opinion is that they suck. Overpriced and shitty quality. We get boxes in at work and the construction is absolute shit all the time. I'm a very big CAO fan in general, but spend your money on the Brazilias or Sopranos (if you're feeling like splurging). The Gold Maduros are a great cheaper smoke, too.

I don't think they are that bad, I've never had a construction or burn issue for that matter, but there are better smokes for your money. These are the only CAO not made my Carlos Toranos just for trivia. If you are a CAO fan check out more of his lines, they are often cheaper. With a Vision much of what you are paying for is the humidor that you don't get to keep if you buy just a single.

I thought it freakin' sucked. There was almost nothing about it that made it worth smoking, much less paying $15 dollars for it. Honestly, I would rather smoke an 80¢ bundle stick any day of the week flavor-wise, regardless of the price difference.

If you pay $15 dollars for one, you're very likely going to be disappointed. Well, unless you don't have tastebuds.

The one I had was a good cigar, but i got it from Mitch for winning a contest. So if I were to be paying $15 I would say it was not worth it. They are $20 around here, so I will not be having another.

I agree with that, I had one at a CAO event and it was good, but I wouldn't pay $15 for one when I could get two or three good quality smokes for that price.

I've had varying experiences with these - I've had some that were exceptional.
I'd suggest trying a few for yourself. The belicoso was the stand-out stick for me - and I'm not a big fan of CAO (though I liked the cameroons alot years ago).

They are pricey, but remember that everyone's 'palate' is different and everyone's palate changes.

In a blind taste test between the white humidor encased CAO Vision
and a white fuzzy dog turd off the street, 8 out of 10 people surveyed
said they preferred the taste of the delicious, all-natural white fuzzy dog turd.

When I referred to crappy construction, I meant that the wrappers are shitty. We have a ton of wrappers that are coming off the cigar, and a majority of the Visions look like someone dipped them in cigar glue to get them to stay together.

I WON'T be suckered into trying one of these stick, period. Tooooo many time I've been swayed by marketing gimmicky shit just like most here. In the end you bought something that after you get finished(if you can even finish the doggy rocket) you think to yourself and say WOW I just smoked something that a $3-5 cigar woulda done a better job at quenching my thirst for a GREAT cigar.
