Just watched this old doc on YT. Although it says "Cuban," it really applies to all cigars since it's the history of the entire industry and includes the way they're grown & made. Which I assume has many similarities across the DR, Honduras, Nicaragua, etc.

It's really very cool! I love the old dude who just rolls up a cigar on his thigh, tears off the end and lights up!

Worth a watch.
