Just joined up today ... been smoking cigars for about 3 months now. Quit smoking cigarettes in May 2005.
Just getting to the point of REALLY enjoying a good cigar.
Am now smoking a lot of Nicaraguans. Am totally hooked on Joya de Nicaragua Machitos.
Am seeking any advice on anything good to enjoy, so bring it on !!!
(Smoking that is.)

Some of my favorite non-cubans (that are relatively easy to come by) are Ashton VSG (I prefer the torpedo and tres mystiques), Fuente 8-5-8 Sun Growns, CAO Criollo (I think I am smoking the patos now), and La Gloria Cubana Series R Maduro. And welcome.

8-5-8's are easy to come by, the sungrown 8-5-8's are a little more difficul, but I just picked up a box of 25 + singles the other day. The Tobacco Depot that I go into every now and then generally has no less than five boxes of VSG's in stock (different sizes). I buy boxes of Tres Mystique all the time. Is that unusual?

:welcome:

I would reccomend any VSGs and most Fuentes as well. I used to really like the AF Hemingway line.

Oh yeah, and Opus X if you can find them.

Welcome! I am new as well.
Any Padron (Nicaraguan) will do...Im surprised nobody has recommended Padrons on this thread.
If you want to treat yourself, buy a Padron Anniversario 1964---otherwise the regular line in maduro or natural are wonderful:smokingme
