All their padilla stuff is cheap. The Miami Salamones are $40 for the box. Cheapest I've seen them was at $75.

Its cause the new padilla stuff isnt the same as the old pepin rolled stuff. I am sure demand isnt high at all on the new stuff

I think Ernesto shot himself in the foot when he decided he wanted all the glory for the Pepin rolled Padilla stuff. Now Pepin has moved on, and Padilla has the same name on the smokes, but the don't taste like they did 18 months ago.

I'm not sure it was Ernesto that left Pepin, word on the street I heard was that it was more the other way around. Publicly, they both payed nice and said it was mututal, so I'm thinking it was most likely they couldn't agree on the money.

Yeah I knew i was being very general in my statement. The way I read it was the Padilla didn't want to pay Pepin, and decided he could go it alone with the same lines. I think Ernesto will feel this more than Pepin will.

My understanding is the Padilla '68s were never a Pepin blend (http://www.cigarpass.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=38157) , and they did receive a 93 rating so this price is outstanding.

My box came in today, I am excited to give them a shot this weekend!
