  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

There was quiet an interest in how I made my first custom Xikar cutter.

Bad Ass! Probably a silly question, but what kind of wax did you use to start with, is it something that you can get at an art shop? How difficult is it to work with? Any pointers would be appreciated, I am very interested in trying to carve something like that.

Love the skulls.

Sorry it took so long to reply, I have been out and about. The wax is a ferris type, hard yet carvable. Green is a good medium. Just start carving, but casting will be the challenge for someone who has never done it. And it is silver.

Thank you, I have had a few more people who have wanted one. So if you have something in mind, holler at me. We can definitely work out something you will dig and love to show off at the B&M.

That is too cool, it turned out great! I must have missed a post, but how did you cast it and can you post a few pics of the casting process? Nice work I love it.
