Things to do with empty tobacco tins?

I'm getting a collection of empties. I hate throwing stuff away that I could put to good use.

So far, the only thing that really comes to mind is use them to put little parts, screws, etc. in, but that's hardly the most efficient way to store stuff like that.

Anyone made any cool projects out of old tins?

Those little clocks look awesome. I always thought they'd be used for nails, screws etc or just throw them out. That's a really neat idea.

I made two of my SG tins into a razor case for my my dad and I. It fits the razors and a couple packs of blades pretty perfectly and packs well.

i use the cornell and diehl style 2 oz tins in my truck. I place a cork pipe knocker inside adhered to the bottom and use it to ash into. It seals tight and no smelly ashtray.

I give my empty tins to my Newfoundland dog Q.

She enjoys them and doesn't make a mess.

Cool. Using Altoids tins is quite common. I like the baccy tins because they are just a bit larger. Plus they seal unlike the Altoid tins.

I've also seen people who, when making a pocket survival kit, glue a mirror on the inside of the lid to act as a signaling mirror.

My emergency kit typically involves olives, vermouth, and gin.

I use the small Altoids box to hold my hearing plugs when I travel about.
