  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Thoughts on Tatuaje...?

I've never tried one of these...never even seen one. There are none up on CBid either...how expensive are they? What's the flavor profile?

Medium strong for the red and brown labels, Try New Havana or Holts.

Smoke that thing now! If you like, i'll send you another that you can save til the moon shines at noon and the planets align and all that cosmic mumbo jumbo. All though i don't think we're gonna be around to see the planets align because our solar system is gonna align with the galactic plane in 2012 and the earths magnetic poles are gonna be rotated and i'm gonna end up living in antartica. I better go buy some really deep snow boots!

Good cigars. Just to overpriced. jmho.

Blasphemy! Pure blasphemy. Now DPG sticks...i think they're over priced.

I think it depends on what DPG sticks we're talking about here. I think the blue label is the sheez. I have it in at least three sizes.

Ooh and to make everyone want to smoke their best every chance they get start reading about the Large Hadron Collider (LHC). Some think it can create a blackhole and begin consuming matter. Crazy......

the blue label is one of the poorest burning sticks I have smoked, rumor is they used the habana 2000 wrapper that was such a bust. Th JJ, tob baez cuban classic and new aroma de cuba arw great.....Still no comparison to a Tat the noellas and havana vi angeles are fantasticstic and more on the cheaper side. Also the el cabaiguan guapo rx isgreat too. don't bother with the whit label, just not the same.

I don't know nothin about an LHC but the guy in the black cowled cloak swinging that sickle chasin my ass and gettin closer (I can't see his face yet, but his breath sure stinks) is reason enough to smoke my best.

OH and a HDM des Dieux or RyJ Cazadore makes a cheap (comparatively speaking) alternative to try.

I disagree with the vast majority of that post.

FYI I've smoked through at least 2 boxes of Blue label DPGs and probably another box worth of misc singles, and I gotta say I haven't had any significant burn issues whatsoever.

Same here I have had no burn issues. Like I said I have it in three sizes at this point. All are very fine sticks. I keep them at 65% where they're happy and they keep me very happy.

Sorry guys, don't mean to offend, just my personal experienc, i have probably smoked ten to fifteen of them now. They burn uneven, go out constantly and are a general pain to amoke imho. Thats not to say that the flavor is not great when it is burning properly. Are you smoking the new "cabinet selection label" or the old style blue label. Maybe he changed something up. Anyway, glad you enjoy the sticks, they are just not for me.

The boxes I've smoked were all old label. So far I've only had 3 of the new label sticks. No problems with any of them.

BTW the white label Tats kickazz--for a cheap sandwich-style stick. I can't imagine that I'd tell anyone to "not bother" with them because they're "just not the same". I mean, really? Like, they're not the SAME as the obviously more expensive, long-filler cigars? The horror--the horror!!

Not offended, just surprised to hear you're having a problem with the burn. I have only recently had the new "cabinet selection" smokes. The preferidos size while very delicious it seems a little fresh and needs a few more months of time in my humi before they are more ready. The only reason I can think you're having problems is humidity. I'm sure you have that handled though so it's likely not the culprit.

The new cabinet selection i think burns better, the old, plainer blue label just did not burn well for me. Maybe it was a bad box, who knows. As for the Whites, the reason i say don't bother is because they are nowhere near as good. I would never tell someone to try ground beef to get an idea of what a filet mignon tastes like. I would rather pony up the extra few bucks to get the real deal than cope with something lesser. That is not to say that the White label Tats are bad, i don't think Pete makes a bad cigar, but once you have smoked the cazadores or any other line it is hard to go back to the whites.
