When we lived in Michigan, lighting hit our well head and fried every electrical item that was plugged in in the house. We had unplugged the sound system, TV and PCs. It was small stuff I didn't think of. The computerized HVAC controls, sprinkler control box, clock radiosI agree that a surge suppressor is not made to handle the voltage of a lighting strike. The makers of the suppressors agreed and most do not cover for strikes. Homeowners insurance saved me.:yes:
