Chocolate, coffee, oak, and citrus notes are the main profile. There is a chili pepper like spice that rides along in the background. It was most noticable on the retro but not overly stinging.
With six weeks or more on them, these become a different animal. They aren't going to be mistaken for the latest boutique wonder blend. However, the have great construction and consistency with strong hearty flavors. Comfort food would be a better analogy than gourmet dining. Definitely worth more than the Cbid price.
