Anything worth doing is worth overdoing
2 August 1995:
When I stepped off the bus at Lackland AFB, TX for basic training, I would never have imagined that 20 years later I'd still be serving. I had no clue about the amazing journey that I was about to embark on. I've been around the world, seen some amazing things, and I have met and worked with/for some amazing(and not so amazing) people, some of whom will be my friends for the rest of my life. I can't even put into words the life I have enjoyed through my 20 years in the military. Don't get me wrong...it hasn't all been great. I've sacrificed time with loved ones and friends, I've made mistakes, and at times questioned my decision to join. All those trials though, shaped the person I am today...I wouldn't go back and change a thing. It's been an amazing ride...and I'm not done yet.
