  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

  • I am thankful for all of my BOTL friends! Everyone please be safe and enjoy your time with family, friends who however you are choosing to spend the day!

I stopped at the local American Legion to see my GF. I had a pour of Horse Soldier for the first time. Bourbon was ok, but the story, the bottle and the mission will have me ordering another one next time I'm there/

Sunday night I had a pour of Booker's Center Cut.

Yesterday, the GF had a colonoscopy in the morning, so needed a ride to get her hair done in the afternoon. 90 minutes so I hit the local liquor store with a bar to try a couple pours. They have the new Maker's Mark wood finished so I tried that. It's a definite buy if I find it at retail. Also tried the Old Forester 1924 (Bottled in Bond). Good, but I won't seek it out. I finished off with a banger, a 8 year purple top Willett single barrel ("Honeymoon Hacienda) at 136 proof. Outstanding.

Late night, some Russell's 13 Year with a cigar.

I had to switch out a cable box yesterday, and the office is across the street from a grocery that I've found bottles at from time to time. They had the latest ECBP (B524) at the cheapest price I've found ECBP at in a few years. At %64 it was a no-brainer. At 11 years 2 months and 130.6 proof, it promised to be right in my wheelhouse.

It doesn't have the depth of flavor that a couple of my favorite batches have, but it's still a banger worth the price and more.

I had the A124 last night and it was pretty tasty. Lower age and proof but it allowed the flavor to shine. I will have to keep a lookout for this one as well.
