  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Looks good, Sister. Very cool that you and your man, share the same passion.
What did you use to secure them to the phone cover and do you have a laminate over the top of the bands to protect it?
Cheers!

Thanks guys!!! I absolutely love that we took this hobby up together .. And I know the man is too ;)

So here's the how to..

For my phone I used an ifrogz SnapBack case.. Used mod podge gloss.. Which you can get at a craft store like AC Moore or michaels.. We got it from michaels.. So for a best shot go there.. Get sponge pens to paint on the glue. Pic out your bands, paint the glue on the outside of the case for each band at a time.. And put one band down at a time.. Overlap them, cut them, whatever you want to make it yours. After all the bands are on put a layer of the gloss over all the bands to create a seal. Let it dry.. Take an exacto knife and cut the edges around to make it as straight as you want.. No overhangs bc then you'll have problems with your case.. peeling, looking gross etc. Apply multiple coats and let it dry each time. Get the clear acrylic sealer overcured mod podge to seal it up smoothly and get rid of the tackiness .. Good luck if you try and good luck! It's a lot of work once again, but awesome!!

Ps you can use any case you want. I used the white snap back because I have the white iPhone and it'll look siiick :) so it depends on your phone and style.. My bf used is note flip case and did the back with bands.. Prob will fill up the front too

Here's before I sealed it all and cut the sides.. Kind of fold the band over the ensues with glue to make it easier to cut around the edges.. Excess glue can also be scratched off on the case when you're done.. A lot of info but any questions let me know :)

Thanks all!! I gotta do the last step to seal everything.. I also wanna see how well they hold up while using it as a phone case. If it all goes well I really wouldn't mind doing some for those who would like them :) I can keep ya guys updated !
