Today's harvest

Thanks! Peppers are my favorite thing to grow. Hot ones should be coming in a week or 2.

Looks good, the heat is beating my poor garden to death....

We have been getting a lot of rain here in KC, but the downside is the bugs are the worst I've ever had to deal with.

What kind of bugs are getting your stuff? I have had problems with leaf foot something or others, they look like stink bugs. Esfenvalerate does a good job of controlling them for me.

Squash bugs and cucumber beetles. Used Captain Jack's Dead Bug first and then switched to Sevin which I don't like using.

I've been getting good amounts of salad Cukes. And the start of pickling cucumbers. Zuccini as well but a 80mph storm ripped the new growth half, right off of it. Tomatoes are getting ready to come in. Hot pepper plants got ripped of their bases as well from the storm....

Beautiful hawls so far! Starting my garden area for next year. Always did big gardens with my pap but couldnt once I moved. Really miss it.

Yeah I didn't have one this year either secondary to moving, but have a large area planned for next year and will have a years worth of compost to start it with

I've pickled 24 jars of Cukes in last two weeks. Favorite are kosher Jalepeno, Cuke and carrot blend. Followed up by relish.

You make mead? Or just easy the honey? How many gives do you keep?

Been gardening long time now. Created raised beds 7 years ago to keep my male dog from hiking his leg on my cukes. Been expanding and changing bed layouts every couple years. Here is current config.





Picking about this much every day or two.


Plums are from the 2 Dwarf Plum trees behind me as I took pics.

Grow cukes/ Zukes/ Maters/ Peppers (Bell and Jalapeno) / Broc./ and Butter n Sugar Sweet Corn.
