Today, on the ride in, I smoked a 98 Flor de Cano corona that Geoffrie gave me in Jersey City.

Holy crap that was a strange bird. Incredibly floral tasting, very very enjoyable.

I don't know what it was but the finish created a vague sense of familiarity somehow...like I had smelled or tasted it before.

Thanks a bunch Geoff, that was quite an experience.

I really like these BUT you can tell they are still too young. I am not getting the potential of these by not being able to layoff them so.........I have another box on the way from a recent Super Saver!:thumbsup:
The burn was excellent and awesome aroma though.

The last one I smoked was a mere shadow of the first five or so. It was definitely in a transitional stage.

I think they are very similar to the PSD 4's as they are awesome young then, as you say, go into a transitional stage. Not as severe (sick) as the PSD 4, but definitely off. That is where I think my current box is at.

Have a few boxes of the 02's - very floral indeed! Should be an interesting smoke to age

The floral taste was weird at first and then very intriguing throughout the smoke...the taste just lingered for ever between puffs.

ATTENTION:

RA Eminencias are starting to transition. Smoked one over the weekend and it was extremely flat with only minimal tobacco flavors. No typical RA nut, wood, fruit flavors.
Lay off, you'll be happy you did.

Theres a Trinidad Fundadores (I think thats what it is, it doesn't have the gold band though) from Tubaman and the Monte 2005 EL from Todd, but those I am saving for when I can sit down and relax and take my time with them.
