This was my first Monte A. I never had the time to smoke one while Dad was here so a while back I decided that the first night he was no longer living here, whatever the reason, I'd smoke one and reflect on the time we had. Well, he actually hasn't been here for like a month and a half but things were kind of up in the air and we have finally resolved where he'd be going. Today I picked him up at the nursing/rehab facility he's been at and took him to his new home. It's actually a house in the country where a lady takes care of elderly people. She and her daughter are RN's. He's got his own room and will be getting home cooked meals and a lot of one on one attention. It's a bit further away from me but only about 10 minutes from my sisters house so she'll be visiting nearly every day. Dad's still wants to come back to my house but I think he'll adjust there once he gives it a chance.
As for the evening and the cigar...........perfect! A cool clear night and 135 minutes of smoking pleasure out on the deck. I really enjoyed this cigar. It burned well and was very smooth all the way through. I smoked it down to about an inch.
Tonight is kind of the end of a chapter for me and I couldn't think of a better way to reflect back on it and get ready to start a new one.

Going to Blue mountain beach in the Destin/ Ft.Walton area.

Brian, Glad to hear you are doing alright.
Hope you enjoyed the "A", you deserved it. What did you think of it?
What should I expect?

I enjoyed a 2003 Montecristo Number 1 on the way into work today. The more of these I smoke the more I like them. Montecristo is a very good morning smoke IMO.

It sounds like your dad is in a nice place Brian.

I smoked a few cigars Saturday while sitting around the campfire all day.

A very nice Mag 46 from May '04 which is coming around nicely.
A 2001 Punch SS #2 from a recent splilt that was enjoyable but seemed to still need some more time in the humi.
And an '03 Punch RS #12, I love these PC's...just delicious!

I had a Ramon Allones PC last night. I don't know what year it was but it definitely tasted young. Still good though.
Do they still make the PC or was that Disco'd too? Sounds yummy!

Last night I had a Punch RS#11 from '01 but I really didn't care for it. It was the first punch I didn't enjoy.

I think the Lancero thread has me reaching for one of my '01s for tonight.
