  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Bolivar Gigante with some age and a Caol Ila cask strength.

The Boli was sweet with subtle spices.
The Caol Ila was intense ...

technically, it was "today's smoke" for me, since it was after midnight at about 1:00 am. It was the Mag50, fresh of the truck. nice smoke, with ALOT of power. nicotine does not EVER phase me, but this was an exception.

personally, though, currently, I'm much more in love with the RyJ PP I smoked this afternoon.

Started off the weekend with an '01 JL Seleccion #1. OTT, but still pretty tasty. Should be that much better after a couple weeks. No plans for more as of yet, but we'll see.

I had a PLPC tonight while walking around Olde Towne Alexandria with the wife and kid. Loved it.

Pretty nice weekend weather here so far...They say tomorrow's supposed to be better... Great time to try out a few cigars

I'm having a Trinidad Reyes tonight... a little more flavour and umph than the Coloniales...but a nice after dinner smoke.

I have a '99 Cohiba Esplendido lined up for after dinner tomorrow night (BBQ and all). I'll let you know how it smokes. The last one I tried did not have the taste that the Esplendido has and was a bit dry...I've upped the humidity in my humidor a % and I hope that has helped with the dryness.

If it truly is as nice as they say it should be tomorrow, I think I may try a Monte A (never had one before...they've been sitting awhile in my humi).... Some sun, a great day, some nice conversation AND a (what I hope) is a great cigar. :smokingbo

I've been busting ass on this siding project so haven't had much chance to smoke. I had help today and we worked until 10:00 tonight with the help of halogen work lights. After my friend left I had an '04 Monte 5. It was darn good.
damrnfl, if you decide to smoke the "A" I think you'll enjoy it. At least I enjoyed the one I've had. It took hours to smoke and it was fantastic all the way through.

Like I said...I sure am looking forward to it and I hope beyond hope that tomorrow was as nice as it was today... I cut the lawn today so at least that is done and I don't have to worry about it tomorrow.

I look forward to the A and sitting out on the deck with a good read & just enjoying. I'll let you know how it goes... guess I'll have to find something other than the paper to read for the A....perhaps War and Peace may do.

Had a Sancho Panza Belicoso ('02) and a BBF ('01) yesterday. Siglo IV ('03) so far today. Hopefully, I'll have time for one more today.

I smoked a 2002 VR Unicos that CVM4 gave me. Very good. It was just what I needed after discovering a ~200 lb boulder at the langing of the deck stairs while prepping for some brick pavers, ugh!

Last nite I smoked a '02 Monte 4, and it was great, like a little #2. Flavors were really rich, so much so that I ordered a box of 10/04 from Rolf. The 4 gets a lot of abuse for mediocrity, but this one was REALLY good. I hope I luck out on this box..
