Last Monday (I just got back stateside): PSD4 after a long day killing sea monsters. This is a 9' Greater Hammerhead weighing in around 350lbs. Took a solid hour and a half in the chair to get most of the fight out of it. The first mate harpooned it in the heart to drag it on the boat and it still tried to eat us for 30min after it was onboard.
Does hammerhead taste as good as mako or thresher?

I dunno. Ask the Miami homeless that ate this one. Next year we've got nothing but Mako and Tiger on the menu! I hear they are 4hr+ fights in the chair for a big one. :-0 At 1200-1500lbs that sounds about right. I wonder how many times they have to be harpooned to be relaxed enough to slip a noose around their necks and winch them aboard. I don't envy the guys with that job.
