2016 Opus X Petit Lancero

Extremely tasty and a medium-full as opposed to young Opus X's that I have had recently that were extremely full, and just too much for

Don't know if the Petit Lancero is normally a little milder as this was my first of the vitola, or if the 5 years age mellowed it out enough, or a combination of both.

Perfect draw,burn and construction

Happy to have finally been able to enjoy an Opus X like I used to

Guardian of the Farm Campeon

Pretty tasty, a mild-medium the first half then a solid medium the second half.

Perfect draw,burn and construction.

Coal was nice and flat like they should, and ash was solid for a couple inches

Overall, a good, well made cigar. I'm undecided on this particular one, but will definitely be trying some of their other offerings based on this one, and will probably get a few singles or a fiver of these to see if they grow on me

It was weirdly rolled with no real cap to speak of. A good combination of dark smoldering earth from the San Andres wrapper and sweet notes from the Indonesian binder.

At 1" it tastes like charred bark, red pepper flakes, and sweet Indonesian tobacco. There is an earthy sweet dark chocolate that ties it together and makes it work

Good taste, very unique. A medium-full the entire length

Perfect draw and construction

Burn was off the entire time and i gave up trying to correct, and it wasn't that bad so no biggie

Just as with my morning smoke, I'm a little undecided about this one too.

Will have to buy a few singles and see what happens, as it was good enough to deserve that

They use to get a lot of recommendations as a good budget smoke. It was originally blended by AJ Fernandez. So, if you're a fan of AJ's lower cost smokes it may be worth buying a few and letting them sit three to six months. For a cheap smoke I would rather get something like the Puro Authentico, Little Devil, or 52c.

Thanks for the info.

Only finding them in 5 packs, but at $20, it would be worth trying again and letting them sit a while per your suggestion
