BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE
Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

First time trying this tasty little gem.
Nice shot of black pepper to start, followed by earth and spice. A crisp shorter finish at first that became longer towards the middle. Medium to full body and not a lot of strength.
Good flavorful cigar when you're looking for earthy peppery flavor but don't want to get floored by nicotine.

Ramon Bueso Olancho 2005 Reserva (Robusto)
It has only had 24 hours to rest. The pre-light aroma is sweet hay, earth, and leather. The stick is silky smooth with very tight seams. So far it is impressing me for the sale price. Updates to come.

I am just past the first inch. The "partially fermented" wrapper lent a pleasant sweet hay/grass flavor to the first bit. It wasn't obnoxious or overly strong. It kept things interesting as the flavors of earth and espresso started coming in. So far it is interesting. It probably needs 3 - 6 weeks to come together.
Sweet cedar, espresso, hay, earth, and cream at the halfway point.
Coming in to the last third. There are no major changes. Leather and spice start coming in. Cedar and hay have slid back. The earth is darker and the espresso is thicker.
If you like the Genesis blends this is worth a shot. I would recommend resting it for a month first. It is definitely a great improvement over the Odyssey but it really isn't anything revolutionary for the Bueso line. I think you're paying an unnecessary premium foe the vintage tobaccos if you pay full price.
