Expected this to supplant the Cracker Crumbs, but ehh, not so sure yet..

After finishing my first attempt at open wood fire grilling, I followed it up with the surprise of the day, Perla del Mar maduro. Not sure if it was price, expectations, or just the scene and atmosphere, but it was fantastic! tmp_12338-20170904_1826351482739001.jpg
Finishing up with a "V" now. Pretty good. Earthy, woody, and good strength. Pepper seems to be mostly an afternote and not too overpowering.

I've smoked two of those A. Fuente Personal Reserves now. And I'll be damned if I don't pick one up each time I walk into local my shop. Great cigar.
Yeah I'm the same way. I remember the first time I saw them at my one B&M and I was like why the heck are they hiding over there in the corner away from most of the other AF's. Every since then I always tell the one old guy there to leave them in that corner so they are always there for me when I come in lol.

I sat on that one for a little while, those ones do age exceptionally well. Glad it treated you right!
I bought a partial box at my local B&M last week. I don't know if they were fresh off the truck or what but I've had two of them and they were crap. The remaining 12 are going to spend some time in the hole. I really want to like this cigar so I'm gonna be patient and revisit them in six months or so.
