Tongue bite

A lot of great input in posts previous to me. I too get the tongue bite as well. But it's hit and miss. I puff too fast, packed too tight, baccy way too wet (since I don't have patience to sit around and wait). But don't let this hamper you from piping. Some baccy's I never had this issue. Over time though, my tongue is pretty much used to the bite now.

That's why I smoke a ton of Frog Morton, it's the one tobacco I love that never causes an issue with bite for me. Flake always nails me good.

I've only just tried the frog Morton range and love it . So will be ordering a heap of it to have on hand but still going to try other Baccy

I second the Jar it and wait notion.

As for Frog Morton, you can't go wrong. I prefer the Cellar but most of their blends are great.

When I first started, it seemed like I'd have to smoke every other day, at most, due to getting bit all the time. Now I can smoke 3 or 4 bowls in a day without being hurt too bad. I think much of it was technique and learning to slow way down. And, some stuff that used to crush me doesn't bother me at all now.

Like others have said, jar it up and forget about it for a couple years.
