I'm not usually one for dumb posts, but I just need to say...

The Opus Perfexion X and the LX2 torp were great tonight,... but the 1/2 bottle of Jack straight may have been a bit too much. I fear that I may worship the one I refer to as the "porcelain goddess" in just a moment.

Lol " in vino veritas" i believe is the term (feel free to correct me), me and jack are not on speaking terms . I think you post these moments of clarity in the "posting while intoxicated" thread under libations. Cant wait to get back to the states and commit my own POI's!

HAHA! I just got done having a nice little Rocky Patel and half a bottle of tawny port, feeling pretty good! First time with port wine, REALLY nice taste contrast with the cigar.

Nothing like a glass or 5 of sweet port wine to contrast with the awful flavor of those Rocky Patels.

Either way... That port wine is usually really awesome as far as flavors go... I can see how that would contrast well with a nice cigar.

In terms of Jack, we are almost always on good terms. Sometimes we have a 'tiff' in the morning, but by 5 oclock we've made amends.
HAHHAA!!! Jack is one of my buddies. I'm glad you guys get along most of the time.
Any problems with Johny?

I feel Don Julio is superior to Patron....patron just has better marketing. Just like Grey Goose, good...but not the best. But like smokes, its all preference.
I agree on the grey goose deal... Not great, but it's all over the place.
I prefer Absolut over them... but yeah. Just preference.

Agreed, Don Julio, Real Hacienda, Lapis, and many more. I think many people do tequila a disservice by gravitating towards the reposado and anejo varieties. The character of the agave just shines through in a good blanco tequila.

Bleh. But what do I know. I'm already half hungover from some crappy ruby port I decided to try because I couldn't afford anything decent. Tasted like welches grape with everclear and, just for good measure, a heaping dose of congeners, apparently thrown in to sully any enjoyment I could have garnered from the cloying sweetness.
