... what is necessary?

Today I remembered I have my old (to me) Timex that I busted the clasp off. I was going to add a new strap when I remembered I don't have the tools to do it. So... what tools and know-how should somebody keep on hand for caring for / modifying their time pieces?

You don't need to go crazy with these things this is a basic kit and will work perfect for what you need

Enjoy brother! Just remember if changing batteries on watches that are made for scuba diving, or water resistant need to be sent back to be re-pressurized. Otherwise it won't be able to handle the meters it was originally rated to handle. Which you don't want because then water will get into the case or housing, then you'll get condensation. No bueno.

I got mine on worldofwatches.com but I need to upgrade since my timepieces I have now are huge. And the winder can't handle it.

Back to OP, I have an Android and Invicta watch tool kit. But the cheap route is probably just as good or even better.
