  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over the next few weekends BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

Figured I'd do a little update here. Due to the popularity of this scratch and the one previous to it that was similar Troegs has introduced as a year round beer the Java Head Stout. So any of you guys that are in the distribution area that want to try a good coffee stout give these a shot.

If you are not in the area let me know I could hook you up. I'm not saying it's blow your socks off but it is damn tastey. The scratch version I believe was mo' betta and had a better flavor/was not pasteurized or filtered.
I can vouch for the java head, its pretty damn good. On the other hand, anyone ever try the troegs flying mouflan?

Why of course I have. I bought a case of it last month. I wish it were in 12oz bottles. I'm not a fan of 22oz unless I have someone to share with and my wife doesn't like maltier beers like barley wines.

It has the bitterness and hops of the nugget nectar but a much maltier flavor and fuller mouth feel. It's good, but like I said wish it were in 12oz bottles.

Hey Basssman, when my knee is better and I get back to driving I will see if my stores close to me have any left.

I might suggest trying Dogfish Head Palo Santo Marron.

Very tasty and it comes in at 12% alc by vol.
Yes you may! In fact, you're the second person today to recommend it. Have to look inro finding some. I don't drink a lot of beer, so prefer full flavor & full alcohol.:glassesgr The alcohol has to be well integrated though, or it will taste like:hammersma
No Palo Santo at my local spots, but tried the Raisen D'Etre. Very good!

I should be of assistance as well. My go to distributor just became the regional supplier for Dodfish Head. I think I have a couple bottles left from the case I bought last year too.

I should of mentioned this waaaaaay back, but for those that are in the area, Victory puts out a nice winter stout, Victory Storm King. I think its pretty damn good, its like chocolate milk, with alcohol. Strong as hell though be warned. It'll warm you up nice on a winters night though!!
