  • BOTL UPCOMING MAINTENANCE

Hi Everyone, as mentioned in my introduction post, BOTL needs quite a bit of updating, patching and whatever else I might come across. Over time BOTL may be unreachable on occasion as I do migrations or updates, etc. Just be patient - we'll be back! I'll generally try to keep these maintenances until later in the evenings.

trying to up my rating.......

OK, I'm trying to up my trader rating, from 0:hanghead: The people on this forum are really nice, and I've allready got some choice smokes from a few members. so.....

The first person to guess my first car, using these clues, will get a couple of mystery smokes (don't worry, they will still have the bands, and will be quallity sticks)

Here we go....

It was a ford product
it came stock with a 351 Cobra Jet
it was made post 1970
it was considered a "formal roof", they also came as fastbacks, or "sport roof"
The '76 model was a famous tv car

I'll need the year and make.......... come on car guy's.

1972 Ford Torino

This is my guess because I owned one right after high school. Those Cleveland engines were strong.

Thanks guys, I got her when I was 16, and sold it a couple of years ago. I wrecked her drag racing and diddnt have the funds to fix her up. Plus the premium gas got over $4.00 a gallon for about a month here and she was my daily driver, it was'nt too bad, she got around 5-6 MPG:bigeyes:

Thanks for the contest!

It was a fun car ... back in the days of $0.69 / gal gas. I would not even think of driving it now. Mine was totaled back in '79 when some idiot high schoolers tried running a red light at 1am and did not see me. Luckily they hit right at the front wheel and not at my door.

what kind of engine ?
tranny?
ect.?
4 bolt 351 CJ block bored .30 over, holmon & moody tunned, pinned nascar 4v heads, I don't remember the cam specs, but it was lumpy. It was topped off with a holley street dominatior intake, hooker headers, and a holley 800 cfm intake.

The trans. was a C6 built by jacksons performance, with a manual reverse valve body, and 3,500 stall converter. The rear was the original 9" with an added 4:11 spool.

She was good for a little over 400 RWHP. Not a bad first car! Like My signature says "Live fast die young" I'm surprissed I made it this far:assaultri

"The point of dying is not to arive nice, neat, and clean, it is to slide in there sidways, beat and bruised, screaming-DAMN BOY'S, WHAT A RIDE!"
