Tube fed or detachable mag

So thinking of buying a marlin xt 22. It comes with either a tube fed or detachable magazine. Never had a tube fed mag anything I should be aware of. The thing that appeals most to me is the tube fed holds 17 opposed to the 7 in magazine. I live in CA so no can't get a high capacity mag. Thoughts??

With .22 I always liked the tube mag. I can thumb in as many rounds as I want, I don't have to worry about losing, or buying magazines and it will hold a lot of ammo.

I'd say tube fed. If I'm not mistaken, you can shoot shorts out of that rifle with a tube mag.

Cool thing with the XT22 running a tube is that you can build it into the Barrett pictured here...

Cheytac is Ruger 10/22.

They also make them speed feeders for the tube mags, thats makes reloading effortless.
