Tubos. Red or Black- Help a brother out!

Headed to the local B&M in about an hour and a half and I've decided that tonight will be one of the Tatuaje tubos. So which shall it be, Red or Black? I only ask because I value the opinions here.

I heard the blacks are coming around, but the reds are still better. but that is 2nd hand info, i have yet to smoke either

I finally had one of the black tubos over the weekend. It was good...but I think I still want to let them sit further. I do think the red is good to go right now. Of course, it is my opinion...I have had some say they prefer the blacks right now, not the reds.

Try out a black and see if you like it, since many say reds are better. Give the underdog a shot, that way you can always turn to the "better" one if all else fails.

I don't know if I'll be there wit ya though, buddy! Let me know which one you choose.

For me, reds smoke now and are gooda. I was underwhealmed by the one Black I've had so far.

I am one of the exceptions, as usual. I loved the 3-4 blacks I've had even if they burned a tad weird. The two reds I had were very wet and underwhelming.

Reds are great now according to most (I've only had one, it started slow but became AWESOME), and will get better with age if the West/East are any indication. The Black Tubos I have not yet had, but Pete said they could use more age--the Black Robustos are 2-years-old now and are really great, imvho. I'm planning to age my Blacks.

Better late than never....I bought a box of the Blacks when I saw Pete in DC, let them sit for two days and than ended up smoking all ten in a four day period!

I guess I would vote for the Blacks!

ive smoked two reds and seen about 3 of them smoked as well.. they all burned wierd and none of them were very great... havent tried the black though. ill update this post when I try it today
